She lights a candle on Christmas morning. Mass at the Nativity Chuch has just started and she closes her eyes to pray. She looks up and smiles. "At Christmas, we apply for permission to enter Israel. If we get an afternoon, we'll have a picnic in Jerusalem." She looks away, wistfully. "When they give us a day, we go to the sea."
